Finally, here it is: the new Merchandise! To be blunt, this is the best release Katorga Works has had a hand in and we're honored to once again with the Merch Rockers. I know a lot of you have been anticipating this, so I'll just throw a generic label description at you and leave it at that:
"Over a year in the making, Merchandise's Children of Desire is a logical extension of their previous Strange Songs LP. The band takes their 'gazed out post-punk blueprint and incorporates elements of krautrock throughout, creating their most cohesive piece of music and, undoubtedly, their best work yet, as well as the finest Katorga Works release to-date."
If you are living anywhere in the U.S. other than the Northeast (damn them!), you should check them out on their month long April tour and get the LP from them there! They will also have a bunch of other releases, including the repress of their first LP, a CD-R of exclusive new material, a new D. Vassalotti tape, and other Merchandise stuff! Oh, and t-shirts! it's perfect
i could never get into this band. maybe it's their music. it's just not my thing.
Masterpiece!
Can you upload that limited cd-r they made for their tour?
M. - If I had the mp3s, I would! We probably will after tour!
Ben - It's probably their music haha
is it possible to get the lyrics for this album? i cant wait till i get the physical copy, is the lyric sheet included in it? fuck...
stoked, they are playing with my homies Spitting Image in Reno, and No Sir in Santa Rosa...it's about time we got some East Coast dope over here!
fred - they're actually from Tampa! I don't think that counts as the East Coast, but maybe it does to the West...
urban - there is a 16-page booklet that has lyrics interspersed throughout, but good luck with that LOL
FUCK YOU COME TO NEW YORK/JERSEY
great record.
I'm in love.
saw them in Oakland; probably one of the most fun shows i've been to in a long, long time.
so good
off topic but are any of the dudes from timber in other bands now. Can't find anything else about them
Timber now:
Flynn is in Hounds of Hate, Hard Stripes
Erik is in Troubled Sleep
Matt is in the Deads
Kenny is liberating animals
hey it looks like this link got taken down, think you could re upload it?
We're trying to, but we're battling some bullshit licensing garbage
